IT BEGINS.

Today I'm officially starting nominations for the Final Ten Best Matches. I've come up with ten of my own, and I want your help to bring my list up to sixty Full Bottles. The rules are pretty simple, so let's get down to them.

1) Each person is limited to two Full Bottle submissions, one Organic and one Inorganic. Each Bottle will be considered separately, and will not necessarily be a Best Match.

2) Each Full Bottle submission should include both Theme (Hawk, Specs, etc) and Power. Color is preferable, but not necessarily required.

3) Post your submission as a comment to this post. Read all other comments as well. If you think someone else has a good idea, reply to their submission with the word "Like." Popularity is a factor.

4) I have final creative control over this project. I may change a color or power at my discretion, or combine two ideas into one if I like it better.

I may do a second round of voting to determine Best Match pairs, depending on what we have to work with.

HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT.

I have so many things to say. It's so nice waking up to an explosion of scans. These Riders are definitely very different, and I for one am on board.

First off, the video game theme. I see the connection between Zyuohger's Continue Medals and the arcade theme here coming into play for a crossover. I can also totally see this following the rumors, and involve the Riders going to some kind of game world to fight. That said, and with so little info about the plot, I am digging the theme.

I love Ex-Aid's suit. It evokes this image of a sort of knock-off Mortal Kombat character, almost like a suit that a dorky arcade guy would design himself. I'm guessing that Level 1 works like an avatar, which then bonds to the human for Level 2. It reminds me of when Mario eats the power mushroom and grows bigger. Brave and Snipe also both look excellent. Really complex designs this year all around. The Level 3 power-ups look pretty sweet as well. They definitely appear to be interchangeable, although I wouldn't be surprised if we see very little form swapping in the show, since they seem very customized to their fighting style. So far Doremifa Beat is my favorite, mostly because of the name. It also kind of seems like the Riders ally with other game characters to achieve these upgrades, and that's just adorable.

I hate the belt. Not the whole belt. I mean, it's a little simple, but that Nickelodeon graffiti on the panel is just so garish I can't see much else. The collectibles, called "Gasshats," slot into the top and can be used in tandem to mix and match forms. Just that ugly panel...

The weapons are also a bit funky, but toy versions can be misleading. The hammer sword combo for Ex-Aid is interesting, but like the suit, I hope those big buttons actually do something.

All in all, I am fully in support of the suits, and a little iffy on the devices. It's all gonna come down to seeing it in action at this point. This motif definitely presents serious obstacles for fan-artists like myself. Most of the really good (read: obvious) game genres will likely be seen on the show, so I'm really jazzed to see what people come up with. I have an idea percolating, but I'm gonna hold on to it for a bit until we have some more information. Hopefully I'll be able to create something awesome to share with you guys.

Many, many generations ago, the proud Emperor issued a grand decree: the first twelve animals to cross the Sacred River and stand at his side would become the Sheng Xiao, noble beasts of highest regard. The hours and years would be named for them, and all born under their auspices would be influenced by their nature. The race was won by mighty and sometimes surprising creatures, and they held dominion over the Earth for centuries.

However, this blissful balance was doomed. Rebel Beasts broke the Orrery, the great spinning wheel that maintained the balance of the world, and the Sheng Xiao's rule. This once beautiful system did the only thing it could to repair itself: it restarted the race. With every passing moon, another beast is erased from the shattered Orrery. When the twelfth moon reaches fullness, the Sacred River will reappear, and the first dozen beasts to cross it gain power over the wills of men.

The leaders of the Rebel Beasts gather their strength, trying to create the perfect dark Sheng Xiao. Many of the original beasts have been lost to time, but hope is saved. Jinzo, the last guardian of the Emperor's Palace, uses his magick to transform the essences of five of the Sheng Xiao into powerful devices, the Seiza Changers. He sends these objects to Earth, into the hands of a group of teenagers who personify the ideals of the Sacred Beasts. It is up to them to reestablish order in the universe and win the ultimate race.

As I said before, I'm guessing you can figure out my theme easily enough. I'm keeping the team name under wraps for now, but I had the helmets and enough of the suits done to share this teaser. I hope it tantalizes...

I'm going to do a thing which I do not ordinarily do. I'm going to take suggestions. Don't get too excited.

I'd like to do a few other random examples of Damashii combos utilized by Ganger and Morrigan in their new upgraded forms. I leave it to you to decide what combos I should post. First, let me explain exactly how the stacking works.

Firstly, stacking Damashii using the Onmyo Drivers requires the Rider to concentrate the power of the Damashii into one of their limbs, either an arm or a leg. Charging your arm could be used for a Rider Kick or Chop, leg for a Rider Kick. They trail down the selected limb in the order they were dialed, with the new Damashii appearing on the chest and kind of shoving the other faces down the line. I personally think there's a logical way to stack certain powers, for example, Tesla-Kelvin-Einstein so the lightning and fire are on the arm, and the speed is in the middle, but that's just me.

So here's how this is gonna go. I'm going to do five pics of Ganger Youkyoku, and five pics of Morrigan Inkyoku, using power stacks suggested by you. The rules are as follows:

-A stack obviously uses more than one Damashii, and caps out at three.
-A stack must be designated to either an arm or a leg.
-A stack can only include Damashii that belong to that Rider.
-I reserve the right to adjust the order of the stack in a way that I think makes sense.
-Only one suggestion per person.

Ganger finally confronts Elder, Akutou, and his sister Morrigan on the field of battle. The 25 Eyecons they have collected begin to glow, releasing colored light that forms a large cube around the Riders, containing their battle. A voice echoes from the walls: "FIGHT."

Despite his wide array of heroic spirits, Ganger can't seem to catch a break. His power alone isn't enough to defeat the three dark Riders, who punish him handily until finally Elder holds Akutou back, urging Morrigan to finish her brother and cement her power. Ganger begs his sister to relent, to turn her back on these villains and return to her family. Elder laughs, saying that the sister Ganger knew is gone, replaced by a shell of her former self filled with rage. Ganger begs to know why Elder would destroy Morrigan, what he possibly had to gain. Elder admit, she got in the way, rather like their parents.

Elder reveals that he is responsible for the deaths of their parents. They had been studying a Ganma Monolith that came into their museum, and interrupted him in the process of attempting to open it, dying in the process. He manipulated events to provide their children with Ghost Drivers so they could help him create Ghost Eyecons. He even taught a crazed convict how to trap his soul to provide himself with a weapon. He had always intended to use the power of the Eyecons to enslave the Ganma and become their emperor. However, the time had come for him to go solo. He slammed the GanGan Graver into Akutou, shooting him into the wall of the cube. He turns his weapon to Ganger in Ishiyumi Mode and fires a bolt of violet energy.

Time stops. The whole time Elder was talking, from the moment he admitted to killing her parents, a light had begun to glow in the heart of the Shade Eyecon. In that frozen moment, she made a choice. She stepped in front of the blast, and the light from her Eyecon erupted, shielding her and her brother and throwing Elder backwards. With her suit transformed into Chouetsukon Nova Damashii, she quickly knocks Elder flat, and with her brothers permission, accepts the victory and rises to the center of the cubes ceiling, entering the giant seal there. She decides that moving forward is better than clinging to the past. With a heartfelt goodbye, she releases her parents, and uses the great power of the 25 Eyecons to keep her and her brothers powers, so they can continue to fight the wave of Ganma that has now entered their world. With that, the cube folded into nothingness, taking Elder and Akutou with it. Ganger and Morrigan were left, reuinted, ready to take on the Ganma hordes.

The Dark Riders have been defeated. The dead have been laid to rest. The war rages on.
